Ep 58 - Interview w/J. Warner Wallace (Cold Case Christianity): Investigating Christianity

Today we interview former homicide detective, and nationally known Christian apologist, J. Warner Wallace. He is the author of numerous books such as Cold Case Christianity, God's Crime Scene, and Forensic Faith, as well as was in the movie God's Not Dead 2. In this interview, we discuss eyewitness reliability of the Gospels, Old Testament canonization, the apocrypha, abductive reasoning, and much more!

Questions:

1) Can you share your testimony and how you came to find eternal life through Jesus’ sacrifice?

2) You seem to be an evidential apologist. What do you say to those who reject that form of apologetics as presuppositional apologists?

3) Can you explain what is abductive reasoning conceptually and practically?

4) What role does abductive reasoning play in Christian Apologetics?

5) In your book, “Cold Case Christianity”, you explain how the Gospels were written by eyewitnesses. Can you briefly explain some of the ways we can determine that Matthew, Mark, and John were in fact eyewitnesses to these events?

6) Why does God create people if, in His omniscience, He knows that many will reject His Gospel message?

7) Why do you believe miracles don’t happen as frequently as they did in the Bible?

8) How does the church evangelize the youth of today seeing as though many young adults are leaving the church and faith in droves once going to college?

9) I have friends whose parents are atheists, and no matter the attempts to witness, they seem close-minded, some claiming that intellect rejects God. What word of advice would you give my friends in that situation of unbelieving parents and their witness to them?
